Sometime ago I started a search for a career change
in SE Asia using the international executive search services of Careerpath. I just wanted to take this opportunity

The whole executive job search process took about 6*
months from start to finish but I must confess to
not paying full attention to it as I was working on
a freelance contract at the same time in Jakarta and
wasn't following up as much as should have been.
During April / May this year I received 3 job offers of
employment and have now accepted one as a Regional
IT Program Manager for an Australian steel company.
The job is based in Kuala Lumpur and covers the
implementation of a new system across all the Asian
countries incl. China. I have been very impressed by

I just wanted to
let you know that your career change service was an
excellent choice for me. My intentions were kept
confidential and the responses quickly showed me the
types of international companies that could currently make use of
my background and experience. I had serious
interviews for challenging positions with the
following highly reputable companies: American
International Group, Morgan Stanley, Hartford Life,
Manulife Financial.
Others showed keen interest as well but I had to
decline due to time constraints. Next week I will
start with American International in their
fast-growing Risk Finance Group. I was able to

corporation). I am still interviewing for 2 further

initially in London and thereafter in Moscow.
However, I am most interested in the Far East and
have accepted the job offer in Singapore. My cash salary
is US$175,000 with significant bonus potential from
stock options and yearly performance bonus. Thank

The
results to date of the international mailing posted on 29 June
were are follows:
US: 2 interest UK: 3 interests Recruiters (US): 1
leading to an initial contact with one client
company. Statistically, the overall result of
approximately 1% was as expected. I will be signing
a contract with XXXXXX (Major UK Multinational) this
weekend. My remit will be to set up a new joint
venture company and eventually join the senior
management team of the new company, with direct P&L
responsibilities. Thanks for your help. I'm glad it
worked out.
